Namaqua Olives is a family-run olive farm in Vredendal, Namaqualand, in the north-west of the Western Cape. The Avenant family — three-generation wine grape farmers — diversified into olives in 2012, planting Koroneiki, Coratina, Frantoio, and Arbequina varieties suited to the region’s semi-desert climate.

All olives are pressed the same day they’re harvested for maximum freshness. Their first blend won silver at the SA Olive Awards in 2016, and the range has since expanded to include extra virgin olive oil, table olives, balsamic vinegar, Fleur de Sel, and even olive oil-based skincare.
