Flavoured After Roasting

Like all Terbodore flavoured coffee, it is only flavoured once the beans have been roasted, never before. That keeps the coffee's natural smoothness and depth, so the salted caramel lifts the bean instead of hiding it. Terbodore uses a medium roast for its flavoured coffees, and says there is no sugar in the flavouring.

How to Enjoy It

The coarse plunger grind suits a French press, which Terbodore recommends for flavoured coffee because it gives a balanced extraction of both the coffee and the caramel. Drink it black or with milk. A touch of sweetener brings the caramel notes forward. Keep the coffee sealed in its bag or an airtight container, and enjoy it within about two weeks of opening, while the flavour is at its best.

About Terbodore Coffee Roasters

Terbodore is a family roastery. Founder Marian and her family moved from the Western Cape to the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands in 2001 and took over a small restaurant, where the coffee soon became the star. In 2004 they began roasting their own beans on a small 5kg roaster. The Great Dane on every bag is Sultan, the family's first Great Dane.
