Our Journey
LuluLocal began in 2020 with a simple idea: showcase and support unique South African products from smaller artisanal businesses across the country. As we explored, we found that many of the gems we were discovering complemented each other beautifully - and our pre-curated, ready-to-ship gift boxes were born.
As our business has grown, so has our range and service offering. We're constantly finding new products (or they're finding us!), refreshing our curations to provide customers with a wide choice of beautifully presented, premium gift boxes to suit a range of occasions and price points.
Customers have the option to build their own gift box and add packaging of their choice, giving them full flexibility to choose according to their preferences and budget.Our products are also available to purchase as standalone items, without gift packaging.For corporate customers, we offer an end-to-end gifting solution - custom curations and sourcing, specialised packaging, branding, logistics, and everything in between.
Our Team of Superstars
We are a women-owned business, managed by founding partners Vanessa Ridgway and Angela Boulle. Together they drive the marketing and growth of the LuluLocal brand, oversee daily operations, and lead the creative curation process and sourcing of new products.
The team is supported by Josie (Stock & Admin Manager), Shaleen (Order Execution Supervisor) and Bruce (Packing Team Leader), with contract staff brought on during busy seasonal periods or for high-volume projects.
