A Tribute to Sultan

The Great Dane is Terbodore's signature blend, one of its longest-standing coffees and still one of its best sellers. It is named for Sultan, the roastery's first Great Dane. He came with the farm when the Macaskill family moved their roastery to Curry's Post, and he charmed visitors so completely that customers started calling Terbodore "the coffee with the dog". Sultan is the dog in the Terbodore logo, and this blend is the roastery's tribute to him: a lingering dark chocolate flavour with a smooth, structured finish.

• 250g Beans - whole beans for coffee lovers who grind at home for peak freshness. Terbodore rates the Great Dane as ideal for espresso-based drinks, so the beans are the pick for a home espresso machine.
• 250g French Press - ground coarse for a plunger (French press). The larger grind keeps grit out of the cup and gives a bold, full-bodied brew.

About Terbodore Coffee Roasters

Terbodore began in 2004 with a small roastery in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands. Founder Marian Macaskill named the company after the farm she grew up on near Worcester in the Western Cape, and a second roastery followed in Franschhoek in 2011. The Midlands roastery and coffee bar moved from Curry's Post to Howick in 2025, and Terbodore still roasts in small batches.
