From a Family Olive Farm in Namaqualand

Namaqua Olives is a family-run farm in Vredendal, Namaqualand, in the north-west of the Western Cape. The Avenant family, three generations of wine grape farmers, began growing olives in 2012 and chose Koroneiki, Coratina, Frantoio and Arbequina trees to suit the region's semi-desert climate. The olives are pressed on the day they are harvested for maximum freshness, and this handcrafted oil is cold extracted. The farm's first blend won silver at the SA Olive Awards in 2016.
