The Fennel Flower Design

The motif is the sisters' Fennel Flower design: airy, umbrella-shaped flower heads on tall, slender stems, rising from a fringe of grass. It belongs to a botanical range inspired by the natural beauty of the Cape, from proteas to fynbos. The sisters call their technique "drawing with thread": every line is stitched freehand on a sewing machine rather than programmed, so no two towels are exactly alike. • Loomstate hemp, a sustainable fabric that has been through minimal processing
