Overberg Honey - 340g

Raw Fynbos and Buffalo Thorn Honey from Overberg Honey Co

A 340g jar of raw South African honey from Overberg Honey Co, the family-owned beekeeping business Nadia and Daniel Vorster started in Hermanus at the end of 2010. They run their own hives for fruit and vegetable pollination and for honey, and today have shops in Stanford, Hermanus and Grabouw. Their honey is never overheated or pressure filtered, and no additives or flavourings are added - it is honey just as the bees made it.

Choose your honey

• Fynbos - harvested in the winter months from the fynbos-covered mountains at the southern tip of Africa. Usually dark, with a uniquely strong taste.
• Buffalo Thorn - made from the nectar of the Buffalo Thorn tree (wag-'n-bietjie) in the Northern Cape savanna. Thick and delicately sweet, and slow to crystallise.

Why you'll love it

• Raw South African honey - not overheated or pressure filtered
• No additives or flavourings
• From a family-owned beekeeping business in the Overberg
• 340g glass jar with a gold lid and an illustrated botanical label
• Taste and texture change from season to season, as raw honey should

How to enjoy it

Drizzle it over toast, yoghurt or oats, stir it into a cup of rooibos, or serve it with cheese on a grazing board.
