Leo Foods was founded in 1989, after an inspiring holiday in Italy highlighted how hard it was to find Italian-style confectionery in South Africa. Today its all-female baking team in Westlake, Cape Town, still bakes with traditional Italian methods, and the bakery is Halaal certified.
